Sensor network for welding technology 

The objective of this research project is to enable self-configurating, cognitive and autonomous cooperating robot cells for welding based on a sensor network regarding to the extreme environmental conditions during a welding process.

Intuitiv robot teaching by pointing and task-oriented navigation for agile welding of small batch series

Aim is the mobile, flexible appliance of robots for small batch series. An intuitive programming strategy allows the teaching of robots by pointing using an adapted Total Station for the determination of angles and distances. A iconised wearable PC is dedicated to program the process and a simulation tool will verify the access of the robot to the workpiece. The robot trajectories will be summarised as functions of elementary moves.
